Makeup Ideas for Everyday
Everyday Makeup Routine
A ten-minute everyday makeup routine: five products, one order, no glam skills — built for work mornings, not camera-ready looks.

The 10-minute order
- Prep, don't layer (1 min). Moisturizer, then a light sunscreen or tinted balm. Most uneven-looking skin is dry skin, not a coloring problem.
- Even, not cover (2 min). A sheer base — tinted moisturizer or light foundation on the center of the face only, blended outward with fingers or a damp sponge.
- Warmth in two touches (2 min). Cream blush on the cheeks and a soft brown tone on the lid. Two products doing the work of six keep the look like skin.
- Brows, lashes, lips (4 min). Brush brows up, one mascara coat, a tinted lip balm. If you have ninety seconds extra, that is where it goes.
How often
Daily if you enjoy it, three days a week if you don't. A routine you keep beats a full face you abandon — same logic as every other routine here.
Two mistakes that undo the routine
- Mixing a heavy base with dry skin — it sits on top instead of blending in. Prep properly, then use less.
- Copying a twelve-step routine made for a photo shoot. Five products, one order, done — the ten minutes is the whole point.
